"We wanted to completely reconfigure the ground floor of our house. We were very impressed with the professional service we received from Turley & Young. Their questions and suggestions were very good. The drawings, right through to the Building Regulation drawings were excellent and covered every aspect of the changes. We are very pleased with their service and would highly recommend them to others wanting plans etc done for any work they have planned".

"I was introduced to Turley Young initially for the preparation of designs/plans for the conversion of an agricultural building to residential property near Stroud. From first meeting, Alex & Steve were professional and extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and they took pains to explain every step of the procedure. they were very sympathetic to the client’s needs and preferences marrying these to the requirements of the planning process. Turley Young’s fee quote was competitive and I would say they went above and beyond the job originally envisaged. I subsequently instructed them again for further plans for the development of a parking area on the same property and again their work was exemplary and excellent value".

04

"Turley & Young have really excellent client communication skills, keeping us very well informed at every stage of the process. They were thorough, precise and a joy to work with. In addition, the billing was very transparent and to budget".

05

"We have been using Turley & Young Partnership Ltd now for a number of years and have been nothing but impressed with both the quality of work and the superb service. They are extremely polite and professional even when we overload them with too much work and impossible timescales! Highly recommended".

06

"We called upon the services of Turley Young to submit a retrospective planning application, to challenge a planning enforcement investigation following changes (made by us) towards the end of our original build. Having discussed at length the issues raised by planning enforcement and additional changes we wanted, Steve Turley took control of the situation and liaised fully with the council and ultimately was successful in obtaining planning approval for all the works and changes we had made and wanted. We found Steve to be very professional and capable of friendly firm advice and he kept us fully updated throughout the whole process. In our minds he went over and above to achieve the positive result for us, we are very grateful.

We are very, very grateful.

Thanks again Steve"

We initially engaged Turley Young Partnership to design an extension to our home, which is situated in a conservation area. During the planning stage, which Alex guided us through, we learned we were an ‘unlisted heritage asset’! This imposed as many constraints as being listed, which meant going through a few iterations of the design, as we sought to satisfy the conservation and planning officers. Alex was tenacious is pursuing an outcome that was worthwhile from our perspective and met the other stakeholder’s requirements.

We also asked TYP to manage the tender for the build. This too, because of various lockdowns for COVID, required two iterations. Having high quality drawings proved to be very valuable, and we had enough good responses across a wide price spectrum to be able to choose a builder.

The build phase was overseen by TYP, and all the administration was taken care of, including invoicing and building control, making it a painless process.

We are very pleased with the end result, the detail in the design exceeded our expectations. It’s not always obvious when looking at drawings what’s happening in all three dimensions; an example would be the ceiling atrium which adds a real feeling of space and height to the room. The detail in the stonework, the lintels and quoins, is also excellent.
