LISTED BARN CONVERSION & TWO STOREY EXTENSION

NEWBOLD-ON-STOUR, STRATFORD-UPON-AVON

The project comprises a traditionally built curtilage listed Grade II barn, originally built in the mid-17th century to be sensitively renovated and retained, along with a contemporary extension finished in local natural stone and timber cladding.

A full technical working drawing package prepared for a planning approved scheme purchased by our client. Approved Planning design prepared by others and progressed by TYP to provide client with full technical working drawings to commence construction on site through to completion.

The project also involves the discharge of several planning conditions associated with the detail planning permission and listed building consent. Working in conjunction with local authority planning and conservation officers, TYP were able to prepare and submit all additional details required for approval by officers and to allow the client to proceed with their construction program on time.

The proposals have been designed to be sensitive to the nature of the listed building and the local area with a modern contemporary feel. The proposals for the conversion have been designed to reflect the rural nature of the former barn and in keeping with the surrounding local community and retains or supplements the original features of the barn.
